Eastminster Presbyterian Church Grand Rapids

Ruth Circle is a group of women who meet the first Thursday of the month from September through May for Bible discussion or a religious study. They usually meet in the home of a member. In addition to the study, the share concerns of the church and try to help out whee needed. The December meeting is a Christmas brunch and includes several service projects - putting together toiletry kits for the Ronald McDonald House and donating items needed for people in need.

This year the group had a vintage jewelry sale to benefit Feeding America with the funds earmarked for Kids Food Basket. They collected unused jewelry from family and friends and spent several days pricing and organizing the costume jewelrt. This sale was so successful that a follow-up sale is scheduled for next June.

In addition to the monthly meetings, the women have several social outings. In June they go to a cottage on Silver Lake for the day - with a sleepover for those who can spend the night. In September, another outing is scheduled for a day at a cottage on Lake Michigan.

This caring group always welcomes new members.
