Baptism is one of two sacraments celebrated in the Reformed tradition of which the PC(USA) is a part. In the waters of baptism, we are incorporated into the Church universal, the body of Christ, and united with one particular faith family.

In the Presbyterian Church, baptism is a part of our Sunday worship service since the congregation plays a vital role. On behalf of the one being baptized, the congregation make vows to show God’s love and teach what it means to live a life of faith. In this way, the congregation supports and nurtures those baptized in their faith journey.

Baptism is open to persons of any age – infant through adult. A meeting with our pastor will help you to understand the mystery of this sacrament and the many beautiful metaphors used in the Bible to convey its significance.
